Although I did not know Mr. Butler personally, I saw him every year at the Memorial Day ceremony at Shenandoah Memorial Park. He was such a big part of that celebration. I just knew he would always be there with his humor and unfailing dedication to our veterans. I missed seeing him this year due to his health issues. I am very grateful to him for his service to our country and his many contributions to our community. He truly showed a sincere interest in our veterans and did everything he could to honor them and make us all aware of their many sacrifices so that we can live in freedom. I will miss him at the services come Memorial Day 2011. I send my condolences to all of Mr. Butler's family. Judy DeCristofaro, Winchester, VA
