Allan E Peters (Pete) left a message on April 15, 2020:
I first met Sam when he came to the Winchester Elks Lodge #867 - I was the Lodge Secretary at the time. Sam's lodge in Pa had dissolved and he wanted to know how he could become a member of 867. I did his paper work to accomplish that and I put a name plate for him on our Veteran Wall's Navy plaque. At a later date Sam acquired enough time as an Elks to meet our Life Member status - of which I made him a Honorary Life Member of BPOE #867. Sam became a great friend of mine as he was so easy going and really appreciated my help in getting him into 867. He was a super guy and always had a smile. RIP my friend!!!!!
