George L. Clark, 84, of Winchester, Virginia, passed away, Tuesday, November 03, 2009, in Front Royal, Virginia.

Mr. Clark was born in 1925 in Rappahannock County, Virginia, the son of the late Clarence Leanord and Helen Connie Clark. He retired as self-employed in the construction industry.

His wife, Druscilla Meadows, whom he married in 1949, preceded him in death on December 16, 2005.

Surviving are five children, Timmy Clark of Woodbridge, Virginia; James Clark of Wellsville, New York; Helen Ann Hamilton, Robert Clark and Dennis Clark, all of Winchester, Virginia; sixteen grandchildren; and a sister, Annie Door of Seven Corners, Virginia. He is preceded in death by a son, George I. Clark; and four sisters, Libby Ann Stringfellow, Pearl Aikens, Molly Jenkins and Pearl Jenkins.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel with the Reverend Kevin Hamilton officiating. Interment will be private in Shenandoah Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 7:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel.
