I will miss you very much, Freeda. There will be a void in my life every day. You were an extraordinary, unique person who enhanced our lives. You were a positive role model and mentor to my brother and I. You were an avid reader. Through you we became life long learners. You were a proud mother of your daughters being good workers and good citizens of the world. Life can be very unpredictable. You faced many struggles that intermittently robbed you of the real you. You recouped with a resilience that few have in life. You battled cancer for three plus years with fierce determination. Through you we have learned to care, understand, be tolerant, have compassion, and persevere on a much higher level. It is a belief that we are all placed on Earth to fulfill our destiny or purpose. If your purpose was to enhance our lives, teach us these these valuable lessons, and elevate our character to become better people, you have done this beautifully and successfully. Freeda, you have helped others view the truly important aspects of life. The true joys of life are the wonderful shared experiences we create with others that enrich our lives, mutually. These experiences make us strive to be better human beings. I am proud to call you sister, Freeda. Much love, always. You are in God's loving hands and at peace as you now reside in the house of the Lord. Betty Ann

Life is our gift for a borrowed time. As we grow in years our bodies weaken, we are overcome with age and illnesses, but God knows and understands our struggles, our afflictions. God is compassionate to us. God comforts us. God gives us rest when we cannot bear the burden any longer. Isaiah 63:9 In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them; in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; he lifted them up and carried them all the days of old. Aunt Freeda, yes, we mourn your loss here on Earth; however we know you fought the good fight and Lord Jesus has granted you freedom from cancer and the worries of this world, we celebrate your life and time with us here on this Earth. We will always remember you here and we will be looking forward to the day we join you, your Mom, your Dad and all other saints in God’s Eternal Kingdom, what a blessed reunion that day will be! My prayers are with our entire family as we try to say goodbye for now to Mom, Sister, Aunt and Friend. Aunt Freeda was a wonderful woman who had the strength to fight the struggles her life presented to her as best she could. Not one is perfect at everything; we all have learned a lot from Aunt Freeda about facing the challenges life has for us, to never give up, to have hope in the most adverse situations. May the Lord bless each of you with comfort and peace during this difficult time.
