Frances M. Garrett

Frances Mae Garrett, 95, of Winchester, VA went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, December 4, 2015. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Garrett was born in 1920 in Mt. Jackson, VA, the daughter of the late Carroll and Mary Elizabeth Green. She had been employed at Schoeneman Sewing factory and later a homemaker in her own home. Mrs. Garrett loved her family and church and was a member of Winchester Grace Brethren Church where she faithfully attended.

Mrs. Garrett married Albert Clarence Garrett on June 10, 1961 in Berryville, VA.

Surviving with her husband are sons, Donnie Fincham (Olive), Front Royal, VA, Harold “Buster” Fincham (Juanita), Winchester, VA, Charlie Fincham (Bonnie), Orange, VA, and Jimmy Fincham (Nina), Miami, FL; thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren.

Mrs. Garrett was preceded in death by daughter, Evelyn Feagans; son, Dennis Fincham; one grandchild; sisters, Lucille Greenwalt, Hazel Swartz, Louise Clark, and Ruby Clem.

A funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 with Pastor Carl Menefee and Pastor Kevin Mincey officiating at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to Winchester Grace Brethren Church, 143 Greenwood Road, Winchester, Virginia 22602.
