Evelyn Viola Triplett Nasser passed away on Friday, October 17, 2025, at Winchester Medical Center.
Evelyn was born on October 13, 1936, in Gore, Virginia, the daughter of the late Charles Matelin Triplett and Beulah Elton Whitacre Triplett.
She is survived by her sisters, Margaret Clowser, Mary Casilear (William), Dorothy Clowser, Juanita McLaughlin (James) and her brother, Charles Elwood Triplett and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents, husband Michael James Nasser, Sr. whom she married on September 20, 1986, and he passed away in 2021 and brothers-in-law, Lawrence Clowser and James Clowser.
Evelyn grew up on the family farm in Gore. She was a graduate of James Wood High School, Class of 1956. Her first job was at McCrory’s in Winchester. Evelyn was a graduate of Northwest Airline School in Chicago, but she chose a career in banking. She began that career of more than 30 years at Commercial and Savings Bank in Winchester. After retiring, she helped her husband Mike at their delicatessen, The Launching Pad until his retirement.
Evelyn enjoyed taking shopping trips with family and friends. She and Mike loved to travel, take road trips to all the states, cruises and flights to many countries and their honeymoon to Hawaii. She also collected coins, Apple Blossom pins and Hallmark Commemorative Christmas Ornaments.
She was a member of First Christian Church on Merrimans Lane in Winchester, Virginia.
Evelyn loved and was loved by her family and friends. She was the very best daughter, wife, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and great aunt any family could ever be blessed to have. She will be missed dearly.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Evelyn to First Christian Church, 75 Merrimans Lane, Winchester, VA 22601.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 10am with a service to be conducted at 11am all held at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. Entombment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park Mausoleum. Officiating will be Pastor Mike Moulden.
