Eva D. Lamp
Eva Bell Dailey Lamp, 91, of Winchester, Virginia, died Tuesday, December 14, 2010, in Winchester Medical Center.
Mrs. Lamp was born in 1919, in Cross Junction, Virginia, the daughter of the late Walter and Grace Dailey. She retired after 32 years of service with National Fruit. Mrs. Lamp was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, Gainesboro Center Club and attended Rosedale Baptist Church.
Her husband, Paul Lamp whom she married on December 22, 1938, in Winchester, Virginia preceded her in death March 7, 1980.
Surviving are her children, Patsy Bennett Tumblin and her husband, Allen, of Berryville, Roger Lee Lamp and wife, Sue, of Cary, North Carolina, Paul Wesley Lamp, Jr. and wife, Brenda, of Winchester, nine grandchildren, Tommy, Todd and Tony Bennett, John Lamp, Jessica Meeks, Michael Lamp, Robbie Lamp, Terran Lamp and Winter Ball; fourteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Two brothers, Melvin and Lawrence Dailey and one sister, Alberta Crosen, preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Reverend Ken Smith and Reverend Ed Schraff officiating. Interment will be in Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Gainesboro, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be members of her family.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
