Eugene K. “Kenny” Leake, 84, of Inwood, West Virginia passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Care Haven Center in Martinsburg, West Virginia.
Mr. Leake was born in 1933 in Frederick County, Virginia, the son of the late Anna and Charles Leake, Sr. He attended Stonewall School in Clear Brook, Virginia. Mr. Leake was a truck driver for Time DC and Corrugated Container, from where he retired. Mr. Leake was a member of Woodbine Assembly of God Church.
He married Barbara Harden on August 26, 1961 in Winchester, Virginia.
Surviving with his wife of 56 years are sons, James Leake (Cathy) of Powder Springs, Georgia; Jeffrey Leake (Pamela) of Williamsport, Maryland; Richard Leake (Judy) of Inwood, West Virginia; and grandchildren, Julie, Katie, Drew, Megan, and Jeffrey “Scotty” Leake, II.
Mr. Leake was preceded in death by a sister, Edith Leake; brothers, Murphy, Frank, and Charles Leake, Jr.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 11 am to 12 pm on Saturday at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 12 pm with Pastor David Palmer officiating. Entombment will be private in Shenandoah Memorial Park Mausoleum.
