John Williams left a message on January 18, 2025:
Mr. Ballard was someone that i enjoyed discussing things with, be it politics, history, NASCAR or just anything that came to mind. I will always remember him putting me to work when I would come over, even if I had no idea how to do it, I did what I could. Mr. Ballard was a good man and someone that you could talk to. You will be missed Mr. Ballard.

Uncle Ernie was so sweet and kind. I remember when he and Aunt Bev got married in our house when I was a little girl. I could tell then how happy they were and how much they loved each other! Although Uncle Ernie had some health issues, he never complained and was always laughing and smiling! He was such a treasure to our family and we will miss him. Sending our love, prayers and hugs for Aunt Bev and family. ❤️🙏
Donald Catchings left a message on January 12, 2025:
Uncle Ernie was such an inspiration with his faith in God and his biblical knowledge. He lived with us when I was about 10 years old and he is the reason I love 50’s music. He made me laugh on many occasions and while he will be missed here on earth it is comforting to know he has seen Jesus and I know one day we will have a foot race in Heaven. Til we see each other again. Donald Wayne
