Elizabeth “Betty” D. Snapp
Elizabeth “Betty” Davison Snapp, 87, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Thursday, December 12, 2013, in a local nursing facility.
Mrs. Snapp was born in 1926, in Strasburg, Virginia, the daughter of the late Raleigh B. and Nettie Virginia Davison. She was a graduate of Strasburg High School and attended James Madison University. Mrs. Snapp was a member of Round Hill United Methodist Church, Winchester Virginia. She was a farmer and homemaker.
Her husband, R. Roland Snapp, whom she married on May 18, 1957, preceded her in death on February 23, 1995.
Surviving are her children, R. Wayne Snapp and wife, Sam of Winchester, Barb S. Nelson and husband, Walter, of Natural Bridge Station, Virginia, Joseph D. Snapp and wife, Mary, of Winchester; grandchildren, Clara and Isaac Nelson of Natural Bridge Station, Ben, Levi and Tesla Snapp all of Winchester, and closest friend and cousin, Bobbie Hinkins Kranich. One brother, Raleigh B. Davison, Jr. preceded her in death.
A Celebration of Betty’s life will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday at Round Hill United Methodist Church with Reverend Penny Wilson and Doug Rinker officiating. Interment will be private.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, prior to the service, from 10:00-11:00 at the church.
