Edward “Butch” William Ganoe, 64, of White Post, Virginia, died Tuesday, March 4, 2014, in Winchester Medical Center.
Mr. Ganoe was born in 1950, in Levels, West Virginia, the son of the late James E. and Tressie Ganoe. He was a graduate of Hampshire County High School. Mr. Ganoe was a Veteran having served in the United States Army during Vietnam. He was an HVAC Mechanic with Thermo Fisher Scientifics, retiring in 2011.
Surviving is his daughter Alesha Salyers and husband, Josh, of Bentonville, Virginia; son, Michael Ganoe, Sr. and wife, Stephanie, of Hampton, Virginia; grandchildren, Michael Ganoe, Jr., Timothy Ganoe, Marissa Salyers, Alexis Salyers, Bentley Salyers and soon to be born, Tyler Liam Salyers; great grandson, Matthew Ganoe; sister, Joyce Adams and husband, Kenny, of Springfield, West Virginia; and brother, Donnie Ganoe and wife, Diane, of Romney, West Virginia.
One brother, Roger Ganoe, preceded him in death in 1971.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday, from 11:00 – 1:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Saturday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. Interment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Romney, West Virginia.
