Edna D. Ritz, 90, of Oak Ridge, TN passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 23, 2021, at Alexander Guest House Assisted Living.

Mrs. Ritz was born in 1931 in Punxsutawney, PA, daughter of the late Vere and Lena Wineberg. She graduated in 1948 from Bradford High School in Bradford, PA. Mrs. Ritz was a Bookkeeper for Northern Virginia Electric Cooperative, retiring in 1995 after nearly 30 years of service. After retirement she relocated to Fredericksburg, VA where she was a dedicated volunteer at Spotswood Elementary School Library, Mary Washington Hospital, and the Church of Sherrill Hills. Edna enjoyed gardening, bird watching, long daily walks, and baking and cooking for family and friends.

Her husband, Robert A. Ritz, whom she married on June 20, 1952 in Bradford, PA preceded her in death in 1991. Along with her parents and her husband, Edna was preceded in death by her siblings, Kenneth Wineberg, Frances Higley, and Irma Ford.

She is survived by her son, Steven Ritz (Carol) of Oak Ridge, TN; and grandchildren, Eric Ritz (Meredith Healy) of Alexandria, VA and Sarah Ritz of Frederick, MD.
Edna will be remembered by her family and friends for her beautiful smile, twinkling blue eyes and warm giving heart. Her grandchildren will sorely miss their Gramcracker.

All services are private with burial at Shenandoah Memorial Park, Winchester, VA. Arrangements are being handled by Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
