Edith Taylor also known by her family as Biff passed away February 22, 2021, at the age of 94. She was a long-time resident of Winchester Virginia.
Edith was the 4th of 7 children born to Clen and Mary Gertrude (Kyer) Brady on March 20, 1926 in Gassaway West Virginia. Her siblings who preceded her in death were Dennis Harding Brady, Helen Halterman, Janie Perry, Nellie Alger, Maxine Pingley and Forrest Lake Brady. She was the last of the original Brady Bunch.
She grew up in Gassaway West Virginia where she completed 12 years of school. She moved from West Virginia to Ohio then later moved to Virginia. She worked at Crown Cork and Seal and after many years retired in 1988.
Robert Foreman her life companion of 40 plus years preceded her in death in December of 2013. They loved the outdoors camping, fishing, and boating.
Edith was a dearly loved mother, grandmother, great-Grandmother, sister, and aunt. Surviving is her daughter Debra Lynn Taylor of Winchester VA; son, Bruce Michael Taylor of Mrytle Beach, SC; grandchildren, Melissa Harper, Michelle Taylor, Michael Taylor, Jessica Edney, Brady Taylor, and Joseph Taylor; great-grandchildren, Emily, Anna, Carven, Violet, Cullen, Rose, Phoebe and Taylor.
Edith loved to read books, play cards, play dominoes, do word search puzzles and most of all spending time with family. Edith always had the sharpest mind. If you wanted to know something from way back when she was our go to girl. She took care of herself doing her chores up until just months before her time of death. She was always smiling and never complained.
All services with Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel will be private, and a Celebration of Life get together will be held at a later date.
