Edith “Edie” Catherine (Myers) Anderson, 96 of Winchester, VA, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2023 at The Hundley Center in South Hill, VA.

Edie was born in 1926 in Martinsburg, WV the daughter of the late Harry and Bessie Myers. She was a graduate of Martinsburg High School and a member of First United Methodist Church in Winchester. Edie retired in 1960 as a checker for the Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company.

She married Richard Rhodes Anderson on June 20, 1948 in Hagerstown, MD, he preceded her in death on April 14, 1971.

Edie is survived by her son, Richard Anderson (Susan); grandchildren, John Anderson, Korynn Brown (Chase), Matthew Anderson (Ashley); great-grandchildren, Landon Anderson and Addison Anderson.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband; son, Harold “Oodle” Anderson; sisters, Martha Siebert, Emily Herring and brothers, Arlie and Buster Myers.

A graveside service will be held for Edie on Friday, June 23, 2023 at 11am in Shenandoah Memorial Park.
