Edie Mae Warfield Bresley, 60, of Winchester, Virginia passed away Saturday, January 19, 2019, at Winchester Medical Center.
Edie was born in 1958 in Annapolis, Maryland, the daughter of the late John and Dorothy Warfield. She was a graduate of Paw Paw High School, Class of 1976. Edie lived life her way; a free spirited lady that enjoyed listening to classic rock, playing bingo and card games. She and her friends at Evergreen would enjoy their cigarettes and good conversation. Edie loved her cat, Munch, and her family, which were her main priorities.
Surviving is a daughter, Hannah Warfield of Winchester, Virginia; sons, Matthew and Michael Bresley, both of Winchester, Virginia; grandchildren, Alanah Warfield of Stephens City, Virginia, Conner and Dylan Warfield, both of Winchester, Virginia; three great grandchildren; sister, Linda Schenker of Annapolis, Maryland; and brother, Robert Warfield of San Antonio, Texas.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, John “Jack” Warfield.
All services will be at a later date at Evergreen Health and Rehab.

I remember growing up as best friends in Elementary school. We spent a lot of time riding bikes all over the Tanglewood area and playing with her pet raccoons. I also remember spending a lot of time in her pool and staying up until wee hours of the morning eating chocolate fudge cookies and her dad always got on us for not going to sleep. LOL! Family was improtant to her and I remember her brothers Jackie and Robert and sister, Linda. And of course her mom and dad who loved her dearly. Also, took a trip to Canada with her and mom and dad when we were very young and recall asking, "Is this the same moon we have at home?" I'm just sorry we never got to see each other after she moved away, but she has always been in my thoughts and prayers.

I will miss our talks and swapping recipes. I will miss talking about our favorite show. You lived your life on your terms and I always admired you for that. Still can’t believe you are gone. Love you always Edie Mae!

Edie Mae was one of my favorite residents she was so loving and caring but did what she wanted to do. She is the only resident that knew my middle name and made sure she always called me using it!! May she Rest In Peace❤️❤️

I met Edie at Bates Jr. High School and we formed an immediate friendship that carried through Annapolis Sr. High. I enjoyed spending weekends at the Warfield residence during the summer, where Edie and I spent a lot of time in the pool and down at the water. When we reconnected through Facebook, it made me truly happy, as I had missed her for a lot of years. In November, 2018 I was fortunate enough to be in the VA area and to meet Hannah and the rest of the family. I was a 'Thanksgiving', when Hannah, Michael and I showed up at Evergreen. I'm so glad Hannah captured that moment on her phone and Edie's expression "Are you serious?!!" Rest in Peace my friend. I love you
