E. Jane “Janie” Jackson

E. Jane “Janie” Jackson, 62, of Winchester, died Thursday, February 10, 2011 in the Winchester Medical Center.

Mrs. Jackson was born in 1948, in Charles Town, WV, the daughter of James Elmer Taylor and Dorothy Mae Taylor. She had worked as an instructional aide with Frederick Douglas Elementary School for over 35 years. She was a member of Victory Church and was very active with her church and within the community. She was a graduate of Harpers Ferry High School.

She married Louis Franklin Jackson, Jr. on December 30, 1972, in Winchester.

Surviving with her husband of Winchester, her father of Charles Town, WV and her mother of Ranson, WV, are four children, Stephanie D. Hill, and her husband, Tony of Ranson, Adrienne N. “Nikki” Williams, and her husband, Kirk of Henderson, NV, Keisha R. Dove, and her husband, Roger, of Winchester, and Brandon K. Jackson, Sr. and his fiancée, Carrie Sorrells of Stephens City, VA; ten grandchildren; two sisters, Vicki Ann Bubb of Vancouver, WA and Tina Marie Thorton of Atlanta, GA; and three brothers, Kenneth Lewis Taylor, of Colorado Springs, CO, Clifford Eugene “Gene” Taylor of Charles Town, WV and Paul Emerson Taylor of Los Angeles, CA.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at Victory Church with Pastor David Cunsolo and Pastor Hartley Wigfield officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Tony Hill, Roger Dove, Kirk Williams, Ray Estep, Jamie Fluelling, and Douglas Washington.

The family will receive friends at Victory Church on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M.

Memorial contributions may be made to Victory Church Missions Program, 2870 Middle Road, Winchester, VA 22601.
