Douglas K. Barron, 80 of Bunker Hill, WV, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2024, at Winchester Medical Center.
Doug was born in 1943 in Warrenton, VA, the son of the late Ashton Barron and Josephine Settle. He worked as a salesman for an Auto Dealership and most recently Shop Foreman for Ryder in Opal, VA which is where he retired from. Doug attended Connections Community Church in Inwood, WV. He collected records and sports trading cards while enjoying yard sales and flea markets. Doug loved jokes, classic cars and tinkering.
He is survived by his wife, Linda whom he married on August 27, 2012; daughters, Erika Soule (Christopher), Vickie Apel, Beth Bentley (Jason); son, Matthew Vantine; grandchildren, Ava & Christian Soule, Jeremy Taylor (Chasity), Amanda Syquia (Alex), Ashley & Brandon Bentley, Nikki Polk and Zoey Vantine; great-grandchildren, Sheldon & Ellie Syquia and Ryleigh and Weston Benner and his brother, Bob Barron (Fred Blanton).
A service will be held for Doug on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 3pm at Connections Community Church in Inwood. Pastor Tim Butler will officiate.
