Dorse Samuel Sites, 93 of White Post, VA, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at his home.

Dorse was born in 1931 in Petersburg, WV, the son of the late Ray and Grace Sites. He worked and retired after 50 plus years for Virginia Apple Storage. Dorse was a member of Church of Christ of Mountain View.

He is survived by his wife, Reatha Mae whom he married on August 12, 1952, daughter, Shirley Jeffcoat of White Post, VA; grandchildren, William Ray Jeffcoat of Stephens City, VA, Stephanie Anne Leininger of Woodbridge, VA; great-grandchildren, River and Raya Jeffcoat both of Stephens City, VA, Talena Richards of Martinsburg, WV and Apollo Funk-Jeffcoat of Woodbridge, VA.

Dorse is preceded in death by 8 brothers and sisters.

A service will be held for Dorse on Friday, December 13, 2024, at 10am at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park.

Dorse was truly the sweetest man. I was very young, when my Daddy, Clark Legge, Jr; worked with him at Virginia Apple Storage. My Daddy definitely respected and liked him so much. He was one who I looked up to when I went to work with Daddy. I remember Dorse was so scared of snakes, the guts would put a rubber one somewhere for him to find. NOT FUNNY! But it is one of my memories. I am so blessed that I got to know him and will always look at the house he lived in on Paper Mill Rd and think of him to this day. Sending huge mental hugs and prayers to his family and friends.
