Dorothy Lamp Clark, 83, of Winchester, Virginia, died Sunday, November 8, 2015, at a local nursing facility.
Mrs. Clark was born in 1932, in Stephens City, Virginia, the daughter of the late Russell and Nannie C. Lamp. She was employed for 43 years in Nutrition Services at Winchester Medical Center and five years at Shawnee Springs Nursing Home. After retirements she volunteered at the Red Cross, Free Medical Clinic-Diabetes Management Program and the WMC Gift Shop. Mrs. Clark was a member of Winchester Connection where she served her term as secretary and historian.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Clark and brother, Ralph Lamp.
Surviving is her brother, Robert Lamp of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania; her significant other, Amos Myers, who’s family was so kind and loving to Dorothy; and many loving nieces, nephew and friends. Special thanks to Sharon Lamp, Marlene Kolstad and the staff at Consulate Envoy dedicated to her care.
The family will receive friends on Friday, from 2:00-3:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Friday, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, with Chaplain Peter Ford officiating. Interment will be private.
