Doris Ella Stanford, 89, of Berryville, Virginia passed away Monday, November 19, 2018, at Rose Hill Health and Rehab.

Miss Stanford was born in 1929 in Colonial Beach, Virginia, the daughter of the late George and Edith Stanford. She was a member of the Lioness Club and the Colonial Beach Rescue Squad Auxiliary. Miss Stanford enjoyed bicycling, babysitting family members, and adored Elvis Presley. She was a member of Colonial Beach Methodist Church.

Surviving are nieces Linda Bowers (Melvin) of Charles Town, West Virginia and Pam Scott (Greg) of Potomac, Maryland; nephews, Michael J. Creegan (Kate) of Far Hills, New Jersey, Rick Stanford of Strasburg, Virginia, and Frank Creegan (Fran) of Long Valley, New Jersey.

Along with her parents Miss Stanford was preceded in death by sister, Mildred Creegan and her husband, Frank; brother, George A. Stanford, Jr. and his wife, Daphne; and niece, Patty Harbour.
