Donna Thompson Miller, 69, of Winchester, Virginia passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2019, at her home.
Mrs. Miller was born in 1950 in Arlington, Virginia, daughter of the late Evelyn and Charles Thompson, Jr. She was a graduate of Loudoun Valley High School. Mrs. Miller was a retired real estate agent. She was an avid member and past president of a Garden Club in Winchester.
Her husband, George L. Miller, preceded her in death.
Surviving is a sister, Peggy W. Shetter (Cordell) of Leesburg, Virginia; and brothers, William P. Thompson (Jennifer) of Round Hill, Virginia, Charles R. Thompson (Tracey) of Wenatchee, Washington, and Douglas R. Thompson (Ronda) of Clear Brook, Virginia.
A visitation will be from 6 pm to 8 pm on Thursday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
A private committal service will be on Friday at Shenandoah Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Pastor Alan Morrison officiating. Entombment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Memorial contributions may be made in Donna’s memory to the Youth Development Center, 3 Battaile Drive, Winchester, Virginia 22601.

Donna Dear, it is December 19 and I have just learned that you have been gone almost four months. Such a shock -- no more lunches with lots of laughs. Your picture is adorable -- looks just like you. With love and fond fond memories of you and George, Patty

I worked for Donna for almost 20 years she was an amazing woman.Always kind always happy and always willing to help so many.She was one of a kind and I will miss her frienship very much.My prayers will continue for all of her family.

Sometimes people come into our lives and make an indelible impression. That was Donna. A wonderful neighbor, a fun friend, and one whose zest for life despite health issues that might have sidelined others made her one of the people we will always cherish. Now she is with George. Rest easy, our firecracker friend! You will be missed.

Donna was such a special friend for all of our Garden Club years together and after. I will miss her happy smile, her laughter and her caring ways. Sincere sympathy to all of the Miller and Thompson families. Donna was so special and will be greatly missed.

Donna was a lovely lady, and a great neighbor to my sister for many years. I looked forward to seeing her and her beautiful four-legged babies each and every visit. The world has lost a beautiful loving lady.

I loved Donna. I met her through Chico’s. Our friendship continued on to JJILL. She always had smile. I loved talking with her on just about anything. I definitely have a void in my heart. She is with her darling husband George whom I’ve known for many many yrs. They both were wonderful people.

Donna and I became friends in 1987 as realtors and then as friends outside of real estate. She was a genuine and sincere person and I, along with others, will miss her.

Donna was always so caring and friendly. I will miss her so much.

Donna was our dearest friend! We were neighbors on May Apple Lane for over 22 years! We hold many fun memories in spending time with Donna and George. I consider Donna as my soul sister, we were very close! When they moved to Winchester I mourned for them not being with us, we mourned for loss of George seven years ago. Now we mourn loosing Donna. Our prayers are with the family as they say goodbye to an amazing lady in this life! We will miss her dearly!

So sorry to hear about Donna. She was like a big sister to me when I was very young. Such a beautiful girl that is gone too soon. Condolences to all who loved her.
