Donna Dick Chaudoir, 67, passed away, Thursday, April 2, 2015, after a long and courageous battle against a devastating illness, Huntington’s Chorea.
Donna was born in Winchester, Virginia in 1947, the daughter of Louise and Cleatus Dick.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Louise E. Dick and her father, Cleatus Fay Dick. Donna is survived by her loving companion and caregiver, Henry P. “Tookie” Kern, III.
Donna was a graduate of Handley High School. She was an excellent student and participated in many school activities including Junior Varsity and Varsity Cheerleading. Donna was also a graduate of the University of Tennessee. She was an avid sports fan rooting for her beloved Tennessee Vols and the Washington Redskins. Along with her love of sports, her main passion was dancing. Donna became a professional dancer, performing in Washington, DC and major cities across the United States. Donna’s outgoing and friendly personality was infectious to everyone around her.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 7, one hour prior to the service from 10:30 – 11:30 AM at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:30 AM on Tuesday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Reverend Kirk Nave officiating. Interment will be in Green Hill Cemetery in Berryville, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Bryant Nickerson, George Sempeles, Rick Kern, Lawton Saunders, Andy Hershey, John Hershey and Jake Vickers.
