Donald William Kerns, 82 of Bloomery, WV, passed away on Friday, September 5, 2025 at Shenandoah Center in Charles Town, WV.

Donald was born in 1943 in Bloomery, WV the son of the late Leslie and Millie Kerns. He retired after 43 years from Henkel & Harris as a production worker. Donald enjoyed working on and restoring cars and old trucks. In his younger years he enjoyed singing karaoke. Donald enjoyed celebrating the 4th of July and caring for his yard. After his retirement he continued to work on furniture. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and caring for his late wife.

He is survived by his daughter, Heather Wagner Sine (Steven Wagner) of Manassas, VA; sons, Jeff Kerns (Donna) of Stephens City, VA, Christopher Kerns (Teresa) of Berkeley Springs, WV, Todd Kerns of Stephens City, VA; grandchildren, Amber Adams (Brian) of Stephens City, VA, Brandy Kerns of Berkeley Springs, WV, Izzy Kerns of Stephens City, VA; and great-grandchildren, Kyla and Kelsie Adams of Stephens City, VA.

In addition to his parents, Donald is preceded in death by his wife, Viola Kerns; former wife, Dorleen Whitacre; sisters, Mary Clark, Charlotte Chamberlain, Jeanette Pugh; and brothers, Glenwood and Roger Kerns.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Donald to Shenandoah Center, 50 Mulberry Tree St., Charles Town WV 25414.

A service will be held at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Monday, September 15, 2025 at 11:00am. A visitation will be held an hour prior at the funeral from 10:00 to 11:00am. Officiating will be Pastor Vernon Bray. Interment will follow at Shenandoah Memorial Park, Winchester, VA.
