Donald R. Hockman
Donald Ray Hockman, 81, of Winchester, Virginia, passed Sunday, October 19, 2014, at his home.
Mr. Hockman was born in 1933, in Croydon, Pennsylvania, the son of the late J. Walter and Catherine Hockman. He attended Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Hockman was a retired sales representative with Mid Atlantic Fasteners in Winchester, Virginia, and a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church.
He married Patricia Ann Stumb on August 9, 1955, in Perkasie, Pennsylvania. She is the love of his life.
Don never knew what he did to deserve a life that was this good. But what he did know, was at the very heart of it was Patricia.
Don was an exceptional father, grandfather, and friend to all.
Surviving with his wife are his sons, Thomas Scott Hockman, Douglas Andrew Hockman and wife, Robin, Steven Mark Hockman and wife, Robin Shade, Michael Ray Hockman and wife, Phyllis, all of Winchester; grandchildren, Nicholas Andrew Hockman, Zachary Levi Hockman and Ciara Nichole Hockman; sister, Joyce Detweiler of Perkasie, Pennsylvania; and brother, J. Walter Hockman, Jr. of Green Lane, Pennsylvania.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church with Reverend Jonathan M. Boynton and Reverend Martha Mill Sims officiating. A reception will follow the service at the church. Interment will be private.
