Donald “Donnie” Lee Lichliter, 58, of Frederick County, Virginia passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at Winchester Medical Center.
Donnie was born in 1960 in Winchester, Virginia, the son of Buna B. Lichliter and the late Carson M. Lichliter. He was a maintenance employee at Apple Valley Animal Hospital. So fitting for him to work at an animal hospital because of his love for animals. Donnie enjoyed going fishing, watching NASCAR, and loved going on long drives to admire God’s beauty. He was a very kind and giving soul with a good sense of humor.
Surviving with his mother is a daughter, Alison Virginia Bock and her mother, Tammy Bock; special friend, Terri Dawson; sisters, Donna Young and husband, Scott and Sharon Edmondson; brother, Dean Lichliter; and brother-in-law, Keith Nesselrodt.
Along with his father, Donnie was preceded in death by a sister, Vivian Nesselrodt and a brother, Zane Lichliter.
A Celebration of Life service will be at 11 am on Thursday at Church of the Good Shepherd, 645 Berryville Avenue, Winchester, Virginia with Reverend Vernon Bray officiating. A fellowship meal will follow the service in the Church Fellowship Hall. Interment will be private.
