Gonna miss you Donnie, such an easy going and gentle guy. I think he is probably over at the rainbow bridge... taking care of all the animals there.

Donnie and his family made a huge impression on my life as a kid growing up. I will always have fond memories of our time shared. You are all in my prayers.

You loved me first. You held me, rocked me, carried me to bed when I'd fall asleep on the couch. You gave me your hand when I was unsteady, and stood with me until I could walk on my own. You instilled in me your love for animals, and the importance of rescuing those in need of saving. Your innocent, blue-eyed girl transformed into a rebellious teenager in the blink of an eye. We yelled, we fought, we said things that neither of us meant. There were times when we didn't even speak. Yet you never stopped loving me. When times were difficult, you never stopped being my father. Our hardships brought us closer. Your love unwavering. You loved me first, and I will never stop loving you.
