Donald H. Faircloth
Donald Hamilton Faircloth, son of Herbert Edgar and Carrie B. Faircloth, has passed us on July 15, 2013, at 10:00 AM, at the Martinsburg VA Center.
Born in 1939, he was 73, cause of death was Dementia. An avid hunter, he is an Air Force Veteran, having served 4 years honorably volunteering for Vietnam, he received eleven letters of recommendation in his first 2 years. Before enlisting he worked with his father, a house builder, in the Winchester/Stephenson area, completing many homes with their quality work. After the service he retired from the Southland Corporation “7-Eleven” as a maintenance Technician, where he did everything from bricklaying to programing, repairing Tach 1, 2 and 3 electronic safes, to building several floats for the Apple Blossom including a giant apple wherewith his boss and friend, District Manager Conrad Foltz, who let Donald’s daughter serve aboard as “The Apple Blossom Queen”. He has two siblings, late brother, Mark and sister, Mildred Cole and is survived by ex-wife, Nadia, son, Raymond, daughter, Sandy Myers, three grandchildren, Kevin, Samara and Thomas and one great grandchild, Angel. A gentle but strong man he was of few words, but his love was limitless. He will always be remembered and very sorely missed. May his soul and spirit indefinitely rest in the hand of our Father with HIS Glory in heaven, Amen.
Thanks goes to those who can and cannot join us. Special thanks to Joey Casada at Omps, niece, Dina Cole, friends, Roy “Skeeter” Reed, Walter Blankenship and Billy Owens, Mr. and Mrs. Scott and Tammy Brezynski, for their help and support.
