Dolores “Nancy” Mills Chaney, 89, of Winchester, Virginia, formerly a 37 year resident of Lothian, Maryland, died Tuesday, November 17, 2015, at her home.
Mrs. Chaney was born in 1926, in Dumfries, Virginia, the daughter of the late Leeman and Ruby Mills. She was a retired Packer with Safeway in the warehouse in Washington D.C. She enjoyed crocheting and cooking.
She married Jack Raymond Chaney on January 2, 1945, he preceded her in death on July 16, 1984.
Surviving are her daughters, Sandra J. Zovak of Winchester, Judy Chaney of Winterhaven, Florida, Connie Soul’e of Zephrishills, Florida, Brenda Dove of Davidsonville, Maryland; grandchildren, Tammy Elliott, Dawn Sietz, Paula Brown, Nanci Buckinghman, Brandi Mitchell, Jimmy Chasse, Shannon Soul’e; great grandchildren, Tori Miller, Brandon Martin, Timothy “T.J.” Brown, Tyler Martin, JC Chasse, Cameron Chasse, Cory Buckingham, Destiny Childress Melana Krivitsky; and three great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Eugene Hedges.
Her son, Thomas M. Chaney; grandson, Michael Childress, three sisters and three brothers, preceded her in death.
