Diana Lane Brengle, 79 of Winchester, VA, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at Winchester Medical Center.
Diana was born in 1946 in Sutton, WV, the daughter of the late Amos Rollyson and Zenna Carpenter Barnett. At age 62, she retired from a job she loved working for 18 years as a school bus driver for Manassas, VA and Salem, WV School Districts. Diana loved spending time on her porch swing with her coffee and honey bun, listening to music and watching the birds. Her favorite color was red and everything was red.
Diana took great pride in her family and her home; she never met a stranger and was blessed with lifelong friends. She had compassion for everyone and everything. Diana was her entire families “Home Base and Weather Station”. She had an infectious and wonderful laugh, and she will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
She married Francis “Frank” Connor Brengle on April 7, 1991, in Manassas, VA and he preceded her in death on February 1, 2020.
Diana is survived by her sons, Steven Shuman, Sr. (Lisa Underwood), Angelo Shuman (Miriam), Micah Shuman; daughters, Sherri Feth (Norbert), Louetta Trader; grandchildren, Marlana Chewning (Hunter), Steven Shuman, Jr. (Leah), Ambria Feth, Cheyanne Shuman, Victoria Shuman, Majid “Froggy” Maya, Amanda Shuman and Marlin Trader; many loving great-grandchildren and her great great-granddaughter; brother, Nathan Barnett and nephew, Eddie Rollyson.
In addition to her parents and husband, Diana is preceded in death by her stepfather, Herbert “Doc” Barnett; brother, Dallas Rollyson and her beloved Terrier, Brutus.
