David Lee “Booster” Ash, 73, of Stephens City, Virginia, died Monday, February 3, 2014 at Winchester Medical Center.
Mr. Ash was born in 1940, in Winchester, Virginia, the son of the late David G. and Pauline J. Ash.
He retired from Henkel-Harris as an inspector in 2002, after 38 years of service. Mr. Ash served in the Army National Guard. He was a member of the Izaak Walton League and an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Mr. Ash loved to listen to Bluegrass music and play his guitar with friends.
Surviving is his daughter, Teresa L. Clowser and husband, David L. Clowser; grandson, Justin L. Clowser all of Winchester; sister, Barbara A. Swope and husband, Charles, of Stephens City; four brothers, James E. Ash and wife, Carolyn and Michael W. Ash and wife, Pamelyn all of Stephens City, Dale A. Ash and wife, Cordula, of Winchester and Benjamin Ash of Stephens City.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Friday, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Reverend J. Adam Sowder officiating. Interment will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Stephens City, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Justin L. Clowser, Charles W. Swope, Charles A. Swope, James D. Ash, James M. DuBrueler, Jr., and Adam S. DuBrueler.
