Daniel “Dan” Alan Grimm, 32, of Stephens City, Virginia, died Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at his home.
Mr. Grimm was born in 1984, in Winchester, Virginia, the son of Rebecca Grimm and the late Earl Grimm. He was a graduate of Sherando High School, Class of 2002. He was employed in the Quality Control Department of Shockey’s Pre-cast in Winchester. Dan enjoyed disc golf, dirt track racing and football, as well as camping and spending time with his two daughters. He was an avid Cowboys fan.
Surviving with his mother of Winchester, Virginia, are his daughters, Makayla Metivier Grimm of Sterling, Virginia and Shayla Grimm of Berryville, Virginia; paternal grandparents, Frances and Earl Grimm of Stephens City; maternal grandfather, Earl Ricketts of Winchester; sisters, Jackie Grimm of Morgantown, West Virginia, April Grimm and husband, Mark, of Stephenson, Virginia; brother, Chris Grimm and wife, Desiree, of Stephens City, Virginia; uncle, Mike Grimm of Stephens City; three nephews, three nieces, several cousins and close friend, Shana Ramey, of Stephens City, Virginia.
Dan’s maternal grandmother, Carol Ricketts and an uncle, Mark Grimm, preceded him in death.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted on Monday at 1:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel with Pastor Brian Dicken officiating. Interment will follow at Shenandoah Memorial Park, Frederick County, Virginia.
Serving as pallbearers for Dan will be Mark Ross, Brandon White, Kit Mason, Matt Owens, Andy Beamon, and Tony Padinha.
