Daniel W. “Danny” Stokes

Daniel Wayne “Danny” Stokes, 37, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Wednesday, July 14, 2010, in Wheeling, West Virginia.

Mr. Stokes was born in Winchester, Virginia, the son of the late Cecil Stokes and Jeannette Thompson. He was a painter with R&H Painting in Winchester.

Surviving is his companion of many years, Cindy MacDonald of Winchester, his daughter, Destiny Stokes and son, Devin Stokes; brother, Houston Stokes of Bunker Hill, West Virginia, sister, Annette Fauver of Winchester; step-father, Bobby Thompson; step sister, Kathy Baker; step brothers, Bobby Thompson, Jr. and Daniel Thompson all of Bloomery, West Virginia; sister, Becky Peacemaker, of Stephens City; 14 nieces and nephews and 1 great nephew.

A funeral service Will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park, Frederick County, Virginia.

Pallbearers will be Larry Holiday, Jay Pingley, Kevin Fauver, Andy Bate, Dwayne Young and Josh Howell.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
