Daniel Louis Dickerson, 58 of Clear Brook, VA, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at Winchester Medical Center.

Dan was born in 1966 in Fort Belvoir, VA, the son of Jeannette Potter and the late Norman Dickerson. He was a graduate of Garfield High School and served our country in the United States Army.

Dan was employed by Raytheon Collins Aerospace for 26 years as Manager of Installations. He was an avid hunter and angler. Loved his Nationals and Commanders sports teams.
Dan loved spending time with his family and friends and working on the farm with his brother. His laugh was infectious and brought joy to anyone who was around. Dan had a wonderful sense of humor and a love of music. Many family gatherings were spent with Dan cooking for his family, listening to music, and making everyone laugh.

He is survived by his wife, Joy whom he married on May 8, 1993; daughter, Jennifer Smith of Clear Brook, VA; son, Chris Harmon (Crystal) of Strasburg, VA; grandchildren, Madison Harmon, Brooks Smith, Isaiah Wolverton, Emma Harmon and Noah Harmon and his brother, Norman Dickerson (Cindy) of Winchester, VA; niece, Jennifer Klascius of Warrenton, VA and nephew Robert Dickerson of Clear Brook, Va

A funeral service will be held for Dan on Friday, August 9, 2024, at 2pm at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.

I had the pleasure of working with Dan for a few years and the thing I remember most were his smile, his infectious laugh and the love he had for Joy! They were couple goals!!! To the family, I offer my deepest condolences. Love to you all!

Danny was one of the people I enjoyed seeing the most whenever I visited the Sterling office. Even on the very first time I met him 12 years ago, he made me feel incredibly welcome and like an old friend. His upbeat personality and humor made him a pleasure to work with and to see out at the bar for happy hour. Danny will be missed. My sincere condolences to his family.

Danny was not only a hard worker and devoted family man but also someone whose infectious smile and genuine laughter brightened every room he entered. His friendship with his brother (Norm) was something truly special, and his loss will be felt by everyone who knew him. I met Danny in middle school. We were friends for just over three years until my family moved away. His smile was infectious and he always found the humor in everything. It was a joy finding him on FB after so many years, and seeing that he turned into such a fine, honorable, and thoughtful man, who had a passion for life! I was so shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Danny's passing. I still find it impossible to believe. I loved working with Danny and will always remember the fun we had at the Schray Mountain golf tournaments and the even more fun we had at the parties afterward!
