Constance McFarlane Barton, 88, of Winchester, Virginia, died Thursday, October 17, 2013, in her home.

Mrs. Barton was born in 1925, in New York, New York, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. David E. McFarlane. She was a Judge with the American Kennel Club.

Surviving are two daughters, Deborah Ayer of The Plains, Virginia; Constance Ayer of Cornville, Arizona; and her brother, David McFarlane. One sister, Jean Bryar and one brother, Larimer McFarlane, preceded her in death.

All services with Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, will be private.

My deepest sympathy to Barton family. Connie was one of the first Kennel Managers at Springfield's where I bought my Labs and the rest is history. Her lines are still in my dogs today. Always available, always willing to educate and help. Thank you Connie I will never forget you for all you have done to for all of us. Yes you were one of the greatest from the greatest of generations.
