Constance Garber Nethers, 71 of Winchester, VA, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2024, at her home.

Connie was born on September 1,1952 in Winchester, VA, the daughter of the late James Arch and Lillian Mae Garber. She was a graduate of James Wood High School, Class of 1970. Connie was a member of Welltown United Methodist Church. She was an animal lover and a proud supporter of the Humane Society. Connie was very family centered and always enjoyed the time she was able to spend with family and friends. She also enjoyed baking, especially in retirement.

She is survived by her husband, John Paul Nethers whom she married on December 31, 1980, her daughter, Jackie Lee Williams and son-in-law Josh and her granddaughter, Hailey Grace Williams.

Connie is preceded in death by her parents, infant sister, Cynthia Garber and her brother, Samuel Garber.

All services for Connie will be private.

I am so sorry for your loss. Connie was a real friend and I enjoyed every minute we worked together. She was my mentor and I hated to see her retire, but she told me she wanted to spend time with her precious daughter and granddaughter and I know she was so very proud of both of them. I am heartbroken she left us all so soon. May God bless you all and help you to find peace knowing you will be together again.

May your family be blessed at this sad time. Connie was awesome to grow up with. We always played softball at the farmhouse with the Biggs brothers and my family She will be missed. God bless.

I’m so sorry to hear of Connie’s passing. We not only went to school together, but also worked together at the hospital. She had the most beautiful smile! Rest in peace sweet Connie. You’ll be missed❤️🙏🙏❤️
