Clarence Allen Chrisman, 73, of Bloomery & Cross Junction passed away December 1 at Winchester Medical Center.
Born in Winchester to the late Lloyd (Sr.) and Rachel Jenkins Chrisman. He graduated in 1972 from James Wood HS. There he met and shyly pursued his wife, Rose.
He served in the US Army Air Defense in Korea. Earning metals including Expert Badge (Rifle M16). He retired from Henkel Harris Furniture after 27 loooong years.
He married Rose Alger Chrisman October 18, 1974.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, football, softball, and baseball. Well, known in Winchester and Frederick County ball parks in the 70’s and 80’s for his abilities. Earning numerous MVP, Golden Glove, and other trophies. Later taking that knowledge to coach little league and Jr leagues in Paw Paw, WV. More recent teaching his grandchildren.
He was a member of the Manuel’s Puddin’ Dog Hunting Club with his buddies and a member of the Sleepy Creek Family campground where he made special memories with family and friends.
Surviving with his wife Rose are 2 sons, Chad, and Kyle Chrisman and 6 cherished grandchildren, Bryson, Natalie, Emma, Conner, Savannah, and Leightyn Chrisman.
Also preceded in death by his brother Lloyd Chrisman, Jr.
His last gift was as an organ/tissue donor.
There will be celebration of life to be held later with family and friends.
