Christine M Mullaney (Cronin), 84, of Hingham, MA died peacefully on December 26, 2014 in the Pines Nursing Home in Easton, MD after a period of failing health. Christine was the daughter of the late Francis and Mabel Cronin of Worcester, MA.
Preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Vincent Mullaney, and her beloved son, Michael Mullaney of Weymouth, she leaves behind her sister, Nancy Davis (Cronin) of Holden, MA.
Christine was the loving mother of daughter, Molly (Mullaney) Lutz of Franklin, Ma now of Virginia; and sons: Stephen of Cambridge, Maryland; Mark of Purcellville, VA and Kevin of Winchester, VA. She will also be lovingly remembered by her 19 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.
Christine was a former operating room nurse in the VA System for over 20 years then worked with the South Shore Visiting Nurse Assoc. before retiring. She was a fabulous cook and gardener who spent many hours cultivating her beautiful yard and flower gardens. Most of all she cherished her grandchildren and loved sending them surprise “care packages” in the mail. Always the caregiver, she looked after her many friends and neighbors during the 40 plus years she lived in Crow Point in Hingham. She will be sadly missed by all.
Funeral services are being held in Virginia on Tuesday, December 30th through Omps Funeral Home, Winchester so that Christine can be close to her children. A memorial mass will be held at Christine’s home parish, St. Paul’s of Hingham at a later date.
