Chris B. Berghold

 

         Chris Burton Berghold, 53, of Winchester, Virginia, died Thursday, December 4, 2014 at his home.

 

         Mr. Berghold was born in 1961, in Delaware, the son of the late Gerald and Molly Berghold.  He was employed with Martin’s Grocery in the produce department. Chris was a loving husband and will forever be remembered for his love of photography and hiking. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

 

         He married Veronica Kerr on July 31, 2010 in Middleburg, Virginia.

 

         Surviving with his wife, are two step-daughters, Amanda Marie Siever and Autumn Rose Seekford, both of Winchester and two sisters, Jan Carr and her husband Barry of Pennsylvania and Kim Labiak and her husband George of Pennsylvania as well many extended family members and close friends.

 

         The family will receive friends on Wednesday, prior to the service from 5:00PM to 7:00PM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.

 

         A Memorial service will be conducted on Wednesday at 7:00PM at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Celebrant Joseph R. Dilleree officiating.  A reception will follow the service at Omps Funeral Home.

I work in the floral dept. at Martins and first met Chris 4 yrs. ago. Chris was always helpful and kind to assist me with whatever task I would ask of him.. Often I'd sing "Christopher Robin" like the old song of the past and I would call him Mr. Christopher and I would get a smile from him.. I'm so sorry that we have lost a fellow co-worker and a friend. You will be greatly missed and may you rest in peace.. My sympathy to Veronica and the family..Carolyn Shifflett
