Charlotte S. Taylor
Charlotte S. Taylor, age 68, of Winchester, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018, in Blue Ridge Hospice Inpatient Care Center.
Charlotte was born in 1949, in Winchester, Virginia, the daughter of the late Charles and Anna Lee Sine. She was a graduate of James Wood High School, Class of 1968. Charlotte worked as a beautician and as a factory worker at Capitol Records prior to becoming disabled. Charlotte attended Kernstown United Methodist Church and was affiliated with Habitat for Humanity where she lived in a Habitat House. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and was a devoted fan of Elvis Presley.
Charlotte is survived by a son, Billy Loy (Paula) of Winchester, Virginia; sister, Karen Gregory (Jeff) of Middletown, Virginia; niece, Emily Gregory of Middletown, Virginia; nephews, Charlie Ridgeway (Laura) of Stephenson, Virginia and Joshua Gregory of Middletown, Virginia. Special friends Stan Ausberry, Judy Eggleston, and Bill and Phyllis Tharpe played a pivotal role in Charlotte’s care and companionship over the years. She was preceded in death by her faithful companion, Dixie, her Sheltie dog that provided great love and comfort to her for many years.
Charlotte’s family will receive friends on Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel, 1260 Front Royal Pike, Winchester, VA.
A funeral service will follow on Saturday at 12:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel, with Pastor Aaron Fitch officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Stan Ausberry, Billy Loy, Jeff Gregory, Josh Gregory, Charlie Ridgeway, and Larry Harpine.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Charlotte’s memory to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 W. Cork Street, Suite 405, Winchester, VA 22601.
