Charles Linden Ludwick, 68, of Frederick County, VA passed away Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Winchester Medical Center.
Mr. Ludwick was born in 1954 in Winchester, VA, son of the late James and Nancy Ludwick. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, proudly serving his country during the Vietnam era, and retiring from the US Navy in 1992 as a Machinist Chief. Mr. Ludwick was a no frills kind of gentleman. He liked the simple things in life…..a good cup of coffee, reading, just gandering, relaxing and shooting the breeze with his kinfolk. Mr. Ludwick was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.
He married Fe Serrano Gorospe on May 26, 1977 in Winchester, VA.
Surviving with his wife are daughters, Christina Hartman (Jason) and Leianna Ludwick; son, Matthew Ludwick; sisters, Cathy Wilson (James) and Mary Kuykendall; brother, Lloyd Ludwick (Kim); sister-in-law, Tessie Putman; brothers-in-law, Nelson, Tony, Ben, and Mark Gorospe; niece, Stacey Wilson Ritter; nephews, Aaron and Jason Kuykendall; great niece, Alexis Ritter; and great nephew, Zachary Ritter.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 10 am to 11 am on Friday at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass will be conducted following the gathering at 11 am. Reverend Bjorn Lundberg and Reverend Stephen Vaccaro will be officiating. A reception will follow the Mass at Muldowney Hall at the church. Interment will be at a later date in National Memorial Cemetery in Hawaii (aka Punch Bowl).
Pallbearers will be James Wilson, Jr., Jason Hartman, Aaron Kuykendall, II, Jason Kuykendall, Lloyd Ludwick, and Matthew Ludwick.
