Charles Eston “Tub” Conrad, 69, of Augusta, West Virginia, died Sunday, September 22, 2013 in the Blue Ridge Hospice Residential Center.

Mr. Conrad was born in 1944 in Petersburg, West Virginia, the son of the late Glen Conrad and Rhoda Cameron. He was self-employed as a carpenter until his retirement after more than 50 years of service. He loved to plant and work in his garden.

Mr. Conrad married Judy Ann Wilson Conrad on April 16, 1974 in Oakland, Maryland.

Surviving with his wife is a son, Rocky Allen Crites (Coletta) of Augusta, WV; a sister, Rosella Tharpe of Cumberland, MD, and a brother, William Conrad of Cabins, WV.

Mr. Conrad was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

All services will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.

Tub, I miss you so much and would give anything to have this be a bad dream. You were like a father to me and you treated my kids so wonderful and they all had so much respect for you.You were a loving and kind, giving man.
