Mr. Charles C. Wilson, 60, of Winchester, Virginia died Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Winchester Medical Center.
Mr. Wilson was born in 1956 in Winchester, Virginia, the son of Charles P. and Sandra C. Wilson. Chuck graduated from John Handley High School and received his certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist. He was an RCIS in the Cath Lab at Winchester Medical Center. Chuck was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a member of the NRA, enjoyed collecting/shooting firearms, was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan, enjoyed running and was a member of Church of Christ at Mountain View.
Surviving with his parents is daughter, Amanda E. Wilson; sons, Aaron T. Wilson, Joshua D. Wilson (fiancé, Valerie), Jonathan B. Wilson (Katie); grandchildren, Lana L. Wilson and grandson on the way, Quint C. Wilson; fiancé, Jennifer A. Gibson and her children, Echo and Paisley; sisters, Kimberly D. Filbert (Robert), Tammy D. Whitacre (Robert “Buddy”); brothers, Patrick D. Wilson (Kay), Mark I. Wilson (Tracy); aunt, Sharon R. Peel (Phil); mother of his children, Deborah M. Wilson; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Chuck was preceded in death by a brother, Christopher B. Wilson.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Church of Christ at Mountain View, 153 Narrow Lane, Winchester, Virginia with Evangelist Charles Doughty officiating. Interment will be private.
Serving as pallbearers will be Matthew Brill, Elijah Filbert, Tim Cooper, Aaron Wilson, Jonathan Wilson, Joshua Wilson, Mark Wilson, and Patrick Wilson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Chuck may be made to the National Rifle Association, 11250 Waples Mill Road, Fairfax, Virginia 22030.
