Charlene was an amazing woman. She gave so much to others. A seven-line obituary is very sad. For years, Charlene worked in DC with traumatized rape victims, an incredibly difficult but rewarding job. Her beloved husband Hugo, from beautiful Bolivia, was a classical guitarist and made classical guitars by hand. They built their own log cabin and loved it immensely, wanting to be buried together there. Their love was one of storybooks. They treasured each other every day, every moment. Charlene was always there for me. Many times I would call with my own challenges and she also supported me and shared her calm wisdom. She always smiled, delighted to see you or hear from you. She was a treasure. I am so, so glad that she is finally free of the physical, emotional, and mental challenges of her last years alone. She deserved the very best. She will always be a treasured part of our family. With great love and respect...
