Chancellor Lee “Chance” Marcey, III, 76, of Frederick County, Virginia passed away, Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at Winchester Medical Center with his loving family by his side.
Mr. Marcey was born in 1942 in Maryland, the son of the late Hilda and Chancellor Marcey, II. He was a school bus driver for Frederick County Public School System. Mr. Marcey enjoyed yard work, tending to the flowers, and dancing.
He married Barbara Jones on May 6, 1961 in Manassas, Virginia.
Surviving with his wife of 57 years is a daughter, Lori Lambert and husband, Douglas of Clear Brook, Virginia; son, Chancellor Lee Marcey, IV and companion, Dawn of Winchester, Virginia; grandsons, Gary Hamm, II of Winchester, Virginia, Jonathan Lambert and wife, Courtney of Bunker Hill, West Virginia, and Brandon Lambert of Clear Brook, Virginia; granddaughter, Isabella Akeley and husband, Marine Corporal Jacob Akeley of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina; great granddaughter, Karadin Hamm; and great grandsons, Cameron Paugh, Jacob and Tucker Lambert.
Mr. Marcey was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel Lee Marcey.
A visitation will be from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm on Saturday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with a time of sharing at 12:30 pm. Interment will be in Panorama Memorial Gardens.
