Catherine M. Stotler
Catherine Moore Stotler, 88, of Winchester, Virginia, died Monday, December 24, 2012, in Winchester Medical Center.
Mrs. Stotler was born in 1924, in Sunnyside, Virginia, the daughter of the late Thurman L. and Chloe C. Moore. She was employed by various area factories and retired in 1998 from Martin’s Food Store. She was a member of Round Hill United Methodist Church. Mrs. Stotler was a member of the Golden Shepherd’s and volunteered at Winchester Medical Center.
Her husband, Lloyd Alton Stotler, whom she married on August 18, 1945, preceded her in death.
Surviving is her daughter, Sharon S. Miller and husband, Ralph, of Winchester; son, Merilyn Alton Stotler and wife, Josephine, of Stephens City; four grandchildren, Michelle A. Murphy and husband, Dan, of Rockville, Maryland, Justin T. Miller and wife, Julie, of Winchester, Teresa Morris and husband, Robert, of Slainesville, West Virginia, William Stotler and wife, Leslie, of Frederick County; 12 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and sister, Furn Shirley of Springfield, Ohio.
One sister, Jean Dorsey, preceded her in death.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening, from 6:00-8:00 PM, at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
A funeral will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Saturday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Reverend Steven Wells officiating. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park, Frederick County, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be, Justin T. Miller, William T. Stotler, Dan Murphy, Leo “Bud” Clowser, Joseph “Joe” Snapp, Steve Crites and Bill Orndoff.
