Catherine Louise Coffelt, 86 of Cross Junction, passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at Hilltop House.

Cathy was born in 1939 in Winchester, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Wallace. She loved all flowers and gardening; she would grow hanging plants to sell and was known for her green thumb. Cathy enjoyed crafting- especially table centerpieces, making cardinal and teapots, needlepoint, and wedding bouquets.

She married John Lester Coffelt, Jr. on June 15, 1957, and he preceded her in death on December 3, 2012.
Cathy is survived by her sons, Terry Coffelt (Susan) of Cross Junction, Chris Coffelt (Silvia) of King George; grandchildren, Melissa Barb, Jonathan Coffelt (Ashley), Nicklas Coffelt, Tommy Coffelt, great-grandchildren, Carson Southern, Camden Southern, Olivia Coffelt, Sophia Barb, and Logan Coffelt; sister Barbara Ashby (Ronnie) of Winchester and sister-in-law, Colleen Wallace.

In addition to her parents and husband, Cathy is preceded in death by her sister, Patsy White, her brothers, Sonny and Bobby Wallace and grandson-in-law, Benjamin Barb.

A visitation will be on Monday, December 8, 2025, at 12pm with a service to follow at 1pm at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel. Interment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park. Officiating will be Pastor David Omps.
