Carolyn S. Painter

        Carolyn Sue Hoffman Painter, 59, of Woodstock, Virginia, passed away quietly, Tuesday, April 2, 2013, in Winchester Medical Center.

 

Mrs. Painter was born in 1953, in Charlottesville, Virginia, the daughter of the late Marvin O. and Elizabeth Hoffman.

 

She married Glen Leroy Painter, who preceded her in death in 2008.  They were together for 39 years.

 

Surviving are two daughters, Tonya Bly of Winchester, Lisa Painter of Woodstock, Virginia; eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild; her siblings, Marvin Hoffman, Jr. of Topton, Pennsylvania, Linda Painter of Winchester, Patricia Schwertner of Middletown, Virginia, Wayne Hoffman and Barbara Larrick, both of Winchester.

 

There will be a committal service at Shenandoah Memorial Park at 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 11, 2013, with Reverend Larry Veach officiating.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2654 Valley Avenue, Suite B, Winchester, Virginia  22601.
