Camille A. Nicholson
Camille Amelia Schwien Nicholson, 97, of Leesburg, Virginia, died Friday, February 22, 2013, in Leesburg, Virginia.
Mrs. Nicholson was born in 1915, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, the daughter of the late Brig. General Edwin E. Schwien and Helen Schwien. She attended Carnegie Mellon. Mrs. Nicholson was an antique dealer and the founder of Old Mill Kennels in Leesburg, Virginia, where she raised and showed Boxers. She was a lifetime member of the American Boxer Club. She was an avid golfer and bridge player. Mrs. Nicholson was a volunteered with the American Red Cross for over 20 years.
Her husband of sixty-five years, William H. Nicholson, preceded her in death on December 5, 2003.
Surviving is her daughter, Diane N. Shipp of Purcellville, Virginia; grandchildren, Edwin Asa Shipp of Winchester, William Samuel Shipp of Round Hill, Virginia; great grandchildren, Collin Gerald Shipp, Austin Kendal Shipp, Emma Marie Shipp, Ainsleigh Favor Shipp and Aaron Matthew Shipp.
A Service of Thanksgiving and Celebration will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 19, 2013, Morningside House of Leesburg, 3161 Harrison Street, S.E., Leesburg, Virginia, with Reverend Cary Johnson officiating.
