Dave, Very sorry for your loss. You were so fortunate to have all that time with your Dad, and will always cherish the memories of him as well. My sincere sympathy to you and your family. Deborah Brownlie Rockport, MA (Alexandria, VA).
Sharon Bishop, family friend from Fairview UMC left a message on January 16, 2020:
I can still see Calvin’s sweet smile and his amazing enthusiasm and zest for life! All throughout my lifetime to date, I’ve thought of him, Virginia (who showed me the way to sing alto of the hymns we’d sing at church), Mike (who treated me special...like a kid sister), and David. What a great family! Calvin can rest assured and in peace knowing he made a difference to others. His heart was good. God bless him, and all of his family & friends. Until we meet again. ~ Sharon Bishop, Dallas, Texas

Elizabeth Stead left a message on January 7, 2020:
When I was little we were visiting Uncle Calvin and Aunt Ginny. I went with him to call in the cows. When he started to call "Sooooeeeyyy" and they came running, i surmised that "Susie" was the lead cow and the rest followed her lead! It took me an embarrassing amount of years to realize my error. It didn't stop me from naming the first heifer born on our farm Susie, in honor of Uncle Calvin. Love and Hugs to the family xo
