Brandon K. Zanders
Brandon Koby Zanders, age 21, of Winchester, VA, died Friday, October 26, 2012, at his residence. Brandon was born in 1991 in Fairfax, VA, the son of Jeffrey W. Zanders and Michelle A. Dove.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his step-fathers, Troy Tomlinson, and Eric Rodriguez, step-mother, Shirley Zanders of Bealeton, VA, his brother, Zachary Rodriguez, three sisters, MaKayla Zanders, Kiana Zanders, and Jennifer Zanders, and maternal grandparents Alesia Ibanez of Warrenton, VA, Frank Dove Jr. of Linden, VA and Rene Ibanez of Fairfax, VA as well as his step-paternal grandparents, Keith and Jean Tomlinson of Pin Oak, West Virginia. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Wilbur and Josephine Zanders.
Brandon was a graduate of Sherando High School Class of 2010. He had a passion for motorbikes, four wheelers, firearms, wildlife and had pets of all kind. He loved exploring the trails of West Virginia, the lakes of Florida, hunting, fishing and nature. He enjoyed his family, friends and numerous wild adventures. He was a courageous, free spirited, young man, who thrived on challenge, yet there was never a task too difficult. Brandon was a warrior with a very gentle spirit. His deep curiosity for how things work instilled patience and creativity. He aspired to become a gunsmith and had plans for his future. He was very close with all of his family and enjoyed spending time with numerous cousins during many family gatherings. In his short life, he gained many friends with his sense of humor and contagious smile. People were drawn to him and loved him very much.
It’s a good thing, even in hard times, to say I love you and be kind to all, for you never know when the last moment will be. Brandon, we love you and will miss you deeply.
A fellowship memorial for Brandon will be held at the family home of Candice and Vishal Bhatia in Fairfax, VA on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 1:00pm. For details contact candice@kbcustom.com or 703-856-7284.
