Betty Louise Clevenger, 87, of Frederick County, Virginia passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at the Blue Ridge Hospice Inpatient Care Facility.
Mrs. Clevenger was born in 1929 in Winchester, Virginia, the daughter of the late Joseph and Hilda Hoover Zebroski. She was a graduate of John Handley High School. Mrs. Clevenger was a homemaker and taught Sunday School and Kindergarten at Highland Memorial Presbyterian Church. She was an animal lover, enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers, and enjoyed hosting family gatherings and preparing all the food for them. Mrs. Clevenger was very active in her church while a member of Highland Memorial Presbyterian Church.
Her husband, William Linden Clevenger, whom she married on April 6, 1947 in Winchester, Virginia preceded her in death on March 11, 2015.
Surviving are sons, Dennis L. Clevenger (Katrina) of Winchester, Virginia and Ronald L. Clevenger (Kathy) of Middletown, Virginia; grandchildren, Chad Clevenger (Ashley) of Winchester, Virginia, Jessica Foltz (Sam) of Stephens City, Virginia, and John L. Clevenger (Anne) of Winchester, Virginia; and three great grandchildren.
Mrs. Clevenger was preceded in death by a brother, Laurence Zebroski.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 3 p.m. with Chaplain Kenneth Patrick officiating. A time of food and fellowship will immediately follow the funeral service in the Reception Center at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel.
A graveside service will take place at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 5, 2017 at Shenandoah Memorial Park, Winchester, VA.
